"Snapper" was not good. Definitely didn't taste like snapper. Parmesan crust was more like odd melted cheese top. Not much flavor. Salmon was great. Hangover burger was also great. Fish dip was mild but also very good. Lobster mac was good but had very little lobster. Lobster bisque wAs not good. Tasted frozen for too long and also had no lobster. Hit or miss on the food but the atmosphere makes up for it all!

If I could give this place 0 out of 5 stars I would. The rude waitstaff & MANAGEMENT are a total turn off! Go here to get frustrated and waste time because both will happen. Read the other reviews before going here. There's a reason this place consistently gets 1 star reviews. It's not just a fluke bad experience it's all the time. This place takes advantage of the fact they have a roof top spot.

Great restaurant with spectacular view of the sunset in the gulf. Dinner was excellent along with the 3 Amigos for entertainment. The only negative is outside eating has smoking which is a shame. Also, we were not able to park onsite. I had to drop off my wife in front and park 6 blocks away and walk back.

We ate here our first night in FL, and walked here from our hotel. We opted to eat outside even though it was dark out (it must be a great view in daylight) because it was loud inside (TV on), and it was a little cold (62 degrees) even with the heater on. Our waiter Roscoe was great, very friendly and good service. The food was good, but average bar food - lots of fried things that I usually don't eat but I splurged for the Coconut Shrimp. I would come back only during the day, to see the view.

Delicious. I had the Fried Grouper Ruben and it was amazing. The drinks were a tad watered down, so I got beer instead of another drink. Others in my party got grouper sandwiches, and shrimp tacos that were yummy.

Basically, the only pro out of Jimmy's is the view. Where do you even start? They charge you $20 bucks to park and go to the restaurant. Which I suppose is more like a deposit, since you'll get your money back when leaving if you show them a receipt. (Don't forget that receipt.) Usually, once a month or so, we'll get a decent size group of people (15 or so) to head over to Jimmy's on the weekend, eat, drink, relax and soak up some rays. And every weekend, the experience just gets worse. This weekend, we waited for a table for our group (tables had to be pushed together), no problem. The hostess says she'll come grab us from the bar when the tables set up...tables are pushed together....she never shows. Of course, the bar isn't really busy, but the floor behind it is like quicksand, so they're ridiculously slow to wait on people and make drinks. So, we figure, "guess we'll take the hint and go sit down, I suppose they're ready for us" since the tables sitting there set up, yet no one's informed us they're good to go. We order, food arrives, Waiter disappears...for OVER AN HOUR (literally.) Finallllllly, a waitress comes over (Trish, of course, the same one all these reviews apparently are complaining about) and we ask her where our waiter's been since we've been waiting to order more drinks (see easy $$$$$$$) and since some more guests arrived (over an hour ago) that want food. She informs us that she had taken over for him and he was supposed to let us know. Oh, thanks for letting us know lady. Plus, where the hell have you been then? A little time goes by...she comes over and tells us, she actually won't be serving us any longer, that it's not her section and ANOTHER server will be taking over. Fine whatever. Cashes us out...from the original server's tabs. Here's the kicker. So, some people finally order food and now we find out that half of what comes with the meals (salad, bread) wasn't given to us earlier when others from our party ordered meals. Jesus, is it really that difficult? Heed these words of advice. Don't come here. You'll just be pissed off, have appalling service, and a ruined day. Every. Single. Time.

Our server "Princess" is a complete delight. We loved our spot at the bar and the view of the gulf was perfect. We enjoyed their killer bloody marys. The grouper sandwich was also really good - seattle girl so I know my fresh fish! This sandwich was fresh and the fries were so good!

The view and sunset are nice but there are not many more positives about this place. Mixed drinks were basically just juice. Crab dip was barely worth eating.

Several years ago I went to Clearwater Beach and while there, we wandered into Jimmy's Fish House and Iguana Bar in the local Holiday Inn. The food was excellent, the setting can't be beat and the service I received from server Trish Acampora was warm, friendly and efficient. Since that time I have stayed more near Orlando in Kissimmee but still often make the hour and a half drive to Jimmy's for breakfast, always making sure Trish is working since her friendly reception is part of the appeal of the restaurant. I can sit in their open air setting, enjoy the unbeatable food and just relax; I'm never hurried and have regularly lingered for a couple of hours just enjoying a coffee and the atmosphere.

***3.5 stars for the outside seating*** We met up with friends here specifically to enjoy the sunset. That was the best part. We were also lucky to have a server who liked us, so we were brought/given shots to enjoy the sunset further. They do a countdown and ring a bell - it's a great ceremony to celebrate the end of the day. The food we had was either overcooked or under-seasoned, so this isn't a place I would recommend for haute cuisine. Service was ok. There were times we ran out of water and needed something and we had to wait, but everyone was nice and they tried to be as accommodating as possible. If you can get a table outside to see the sun set, stick with simple apps and try to get the sunset shot. The atmosphere is more of a draw than anything.

I was a tad skeptical of this place at first as it seemed like a very touristy place attached to a Holiday Inn motel but it was actually decent. As I will probably note in every restaurant review from this trip, I have a shellfish allergy and forgot my epi pen at home (good move), I was a little freaked out about having an allergic reaction. Somehow my food seems to somehow get contaminated and I fall ill. Not a good time. I was with a group of 7 or 8 and we arrived about an hour before sunset. We sat outside right on the water because coming from the bitter climes of Chicago, how could I not? I figured that most of the places we'd go to would be largely focused on seafood, which was true and almost everything I had needed to be modified somewhat. Apparently vegetarianism is not a big thing at tourist places. Before we had even arrived, I wanted to check the menu out online to see what, if anything, I could have and I must've been linked to an older menu because they had this really appealing looking vegetarian wrap which of course after arriving at the restaurant and looking at the current menu, it had been removed. Boo. So I ended up ordering the "Island Chicken Wrap" with chicken, which was basically just a caesar salad wrap. Came with chips, cole slaw and a pickle. Not incredibly exciting but there really wasn't much else at all for me. When the wrap arrived, it didn't appear to be too appetizing. Iceburg lettuce (the menu said romaine but I really don't think it was, it was way too pale in color), shredded cheddar cheese... about the only thing "caesar" about it was the dressing. Surprisingly, it was actually good. I ate the whole thing. My mother, who was seated beside me, ordered "You Peel Um" shrimp, ew. I was terrified of her peeling the shrimp and then reaching into the bread basket and getting her shrimpy fingers all over the bread so I passed on that. To this day, she still does not believe I am allergic to shellfish. She doesn't live near me and has never been present for a reaction but still you'd think she'd take my word on that. Whatever... As we were finishing up our dinner, a fellow with a guitar set up on the outdoor stage and played some fun tropical songs as the sun set. He kept encouraging us to all take pictures of the sunset because apparently there is some contest you can enter. Not sure what the prize is. He then sang some songs about the sun. There was a countdown to sunset and when the countdown reached zero, someone rang a big bell. Entertaining, I must say. The location here was the main draw to me. Nice casual place to go I guess.

Bad,Rude and Trashy. And now to the bad side of our experience. We went there on our first night in Florida, that was the closest place to our hotel and since we were with our two little kids we decided to go somewhere close to our hoatel. After a 30 min wait , we've got finally sited. Busy night, I get it. Here starts the nightmare, our waitress(trish?) Had zero patience and was busy everything else but us, she actually left in the middle of the order and came backe five minutes later to order the drinks, when the drinks finally arrived, none of them were right, wait another 10 min for her to complete the order, than after 50 min of waiting with no food, we looked for the manager since our waitress disappeared , he was pn the phone for 20 minutes!. We ended up leaving after an hour an half with no food and no manager... not sure anyone there could care less. Don't waste your time!

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!! It's atmosphere is great, nightly live music, fantastic service, EXCELLENT FOOD, I would eat there every night if I could that is how much I enjoyed it. I work on a hotel on the beach and I send everyone that checks in to my hotel to this restaurant and have NOT gotten a complaint yet...nothing but GREAT FEEDBACK. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! You will love the outdoor seating! It is awesome to sit outside and be able to see such beautiful sights!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice place overlooking the gulf. Prices kinda high? Loved the grilled oysters for a appetizer. Food was ok good but nothing special. Would thing elsewhere if wanting better food.

  • Krissy K.

The view is amazing. That is pretty much all it has to offer. It's a shame but the management is so rude they are with you. The bar staff doesn't even acknowledge you and could care less. My food order is always wrong plus the food is terrible.

  • Meaghan H.

Breakfast was pretty dire, I think most of the food was frozen and microwaved. Service was ok, nothing remarkable either way. Nice view, but there are lots of nice views in the area. Skip this one.

  • Brad V.

Food is prolly 2 stars. Gumbo was bad, shrimp was weak. But service, atmosphere and live music was good , so I gave 3 stars. The one thing that was great was the seafood steam bucket!

  • Pizzabeak M.

Place seems real unorganized when you walk in. Outside table had wonderful ocean view. Live music with huge bar. Server was very friendly and prompt. Pretty noisy on a Saturday night with the young crowd. Had the Haddock special and it was very fresh and tasty. Being from the Midwest with very good water, the tea here has definite Wang to it because of the water. Overall not too bad though. Would definitely recommend and we'll eat here again.

  • Cassidy B.

One of the best views in clearwater, and this is the main reason why after the awful service we received the first time, we still came back once more. Environment was flawless, however the food was mediocre, and the service was again terrible. Would not recommend unless your dining standards are set very low.

Stopped in to watch the sunset tonight, to grab a quick bite and a few cocktails with good friends in town. Our waitress was Trish, and she was very pleasant and accommodating. Food and drinks were good, but the service and atmosphere is what made our evening. Thank you Trish!

  • Josh S.

Food was good... Kinda pricey for the portion sizes.. But overall it was good time we had family in from Chicago and was watching the Blackhawks game. They have a wheel of fortune they spin every hour for drink specials. Pretty neat idea..

I have come here a few times to relax and catch some late night drinks and games on TV with friends. I have never eaten here, so I cannot comment on the food, only on the drinks, service and environment. Everytime we come there are usually a few seats available up at the bar, both inside and outside, as well as a full dining room and patio seating out back on the water, so lots of different choices there. The view here is outstanding, so it's worth coming by just to check it out and enjoy the florida weather out back. The drinks we've had here were always solid and the service is friendly and quick. I like the environment here, very nice decor and always clean. The prices are average. Personally, I like coming here from time to time and will try the food again next time just to get an idea of what they have to offer and how well they deliver it. I recommend it for drinks, fun and a view if nothing else!

Been in Clearwater on vacation for a month. By far the worst bar service we have received. The bartender had a name tag that said "Amazing Amy" she was anything but amazing -would never go back!

  • Angela B.

I live on the beach so I frequent this place throughout the year. It's definitely a great spot to watch any kind of sports games they have lots of TVs and a big patio to sit on outback by the water. The food is good, The drinks are better, and there's always a live band playing which creates a great mood. I love this place to come and visit. I gave it three stars only because the food is good and not great..but the view is amazing especially in the summertime when it's busy and it's it happening place to be

The party I dined with had a mixture of breakfast and lunch. I had lunch ordering the tilapia taco. This was okay. Not very seasoned but the sauce they provided helped. The rice was not fully cooked...a bit crunchy or difficult to chew. The breakfast buffet was okay too. A lot of options so that was nice. To freshen our meal we order mojitos. Again, okay. It is located in the holiday inn hotel so the location was very convenient.

    (3)
  • Scott K.

Came here on vacation with the family. Great outside seating right on the water. Everyone was happy with the drinks from the bar (mojitos and piña coladas). We had great service and it was kid friendly. The reasons for only giving 3 stars are that the food was average quality and it felt a bit expensive for what it was. We might go back for breakfast, since the menu looked pretty good and we like the outdoor seating.

    (3)
  • Kristin R.

The atmosphere was pretty nice and the staff was friendly. We had 6 bbq wings and 6 buffalo - they were just breaded wings fried and the smothered in the sauce after they took them out of the fryer. Also got the black and blue burger - it was meh - if the prices were a little lower, it would have been ok.

  • Annie L.

While their food is good, they sat us on the opposite side of the restaurant (in the corner where it was very dim lit and not inviting at all) as everyone else merely because we had a toddler with us. God forbid if my child made any noises to disturb the other diners. They did this two mornings in a row to us. The breakfast was good but never hot or even really warm. We stayed in this hotel and had a tight schedule otherwise we would have eaten elsewhere. I ordered room service for dinner and it tasted like something that came from the frozen section of the local grocery store. The next time we visit Clearwater, we will not be visiting this restaurant or Holiday Inn again.

Could easily be 5 stars. We waited over 30 mins for a table when we observed multiple empty tables not cleaned for several minutes after people left. Staff was super friendly our waitress Leah was very sweet. Now on to the food! The New England clam chowder was the best iv had in a very long time, the seafood gumbo was yummy but way to spivey for me if you are into spice you'll love it. Main dishes my dad had the seafood pasta he ranted about how great it was mom n I had the muscles and pasta which was good the sauce coulda been a bit better but still very yummy. My wife had fried tilapia she said was cooked to perfection. All n all the food was. Great my waitress's gets 5 stars. 4 adults n two kids ate with drinks n desert $85 plus tip. Super reasonable ! Hope this helps

  • Das D.

Can't beat the view. Especially at sunset, but you won't be seated on the deck unless you order dinner. Service was above average but I can't say that for the food. It wasn't bad, but just average. I had grilled Mahi and it had a texture that makes me believe it was previously frozen, not fresh. I'm from Florida and have eaten Mahi enough to tell the difference. The live band and the atmosphere made the average food worth it. Had to remember this is a hotel restaurant in the Holiday Inn, so maybe my expectations were a bit too high.

Great live music and beach view. There's also TVs next to bar so it worked out great for watching NFL playoffs. I had the ahi tuna salad and can't complain. The strawberry mojito hit the spot as well. Overall good place to chill.

We went here on thanksgiving night, we are from Orlando. Overall it was a nice place very busy, which seems like they didn't expect that. We sat inside due to the cold. Our server Renee was great very honest! We both had the shrimp tacos and they were great!

    (3)
  • Shaun S.

I picked this place for lunch only because it was the only quiet restaurant with a view on the water and I do not regret dining here.. The Bloody Mary was great with a nice kick and the grouper tasted fantastic. Great service with a beautiful view of the gulf in the summer time. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to goto a quiet relaxing restaurant

this place has the best fish spread I've ever had :) if you haven't tried it yet, you must!

Good drinks and food at a reasonable price. The Shrimp Tacos were excellent and actually had a lot of shrimp in them, and not bay shrimp. The waiter was kind and attentive. The bartenders for the most part were the worst part of the experience. For lack of a better word they sucked. They really didn't pay attention to you unless you were a popular guest or you wave them down. I wasn't the only patron who noticed this. Other than that I would stop by for a drink again, I just wouldn't expect much from the bartenders other than a drink at their leisure.

Came here new years day after arriving at Rumba to find that they didn't open until 6 p.m. We got seated very quickly right next to the water. They view and ambience is great! We have crab stuffed shrimp, parm crusted snapper, raw oysters, grouper bites and pina coladas. The good : best rice I've had in forever (we got some to go), perfectly seasoned snapper and to die for pina coladas with honey and coconut rims. The bad: my friend loved the shrimp but, it tasted overly fishy to me and, they don't sell half serving raw oysters so we had to buy 12. For all of that food we spent $120 after tip and had plenty of left overs.

  • Doug W.

My wife and I have tried this place twice - last year for dinner, and this past weekend for breakfast. Both times, the service has been poor at best. Our server forgot about us constantly and I had to chase her down for things, which she'd then forget again. The prices are high for the poor quality of food you get, but the view is nice! I know I shouldn't expect much from a beach-front restaurant, but this one is about as bad at it gets. Go here for a few drinks I guess, but even that is probably over-priced.

As this place is conveniently located beside the lobby of our hotel (Holiday Inn) the family and I decided to have dinner here... and then I came back the next day for lunch (decent lobster bisque) yummy fresh baked bread, an awesome gulf special pizza with scallops and shrimp. We were told they also cook fresh catch, so we were excited to bring all of the snapper we caught, the staff was a bit disorganized when it came to giving us an explanation on their procedure (bartender told us it was 7 or $8.95 per lb, but luckily the manager was nice enough to charge us a flat $10 although they NOW normally charge $14.95 per person to create an entrée out of your catch. As we barely had over a lb of filets it was great to just snack of them as they were lightly battered and fried. The piña coladas are great and other typical american fair definitely fill your belly with goodness after a long day by the waterside.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and had drinks every night at the bar. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent entertainment. We were on the 4th floor Gulf-side and the view and sunset were amazing! Will def be back

Ate dinner, breakfast and lunch here. Food was solid. Spicy Burger with blue cheese was really, really good. Loved the chocolate thunder cake and the key lime drink. Also loved the bloody mary- just the right amount of spice. Service was definitely not quick, but very friendly. Outdoor dining on the water can't be beat. Live music was great. And amazing spot to watch the sunset and spot some dolphins.

Visited Jimmy's while in Clearwater for Phillies Spring Training. As if we couldn't get enough of Philadelphia-in-Florida activities, we came to Jimmy's to see Blackthorne, an Irish music group based out of Delaware County, PA. Before I say anything else, I must say that the view on the back patio here is amazing. One of the best in Clearwater Beach. The view alone gave this spot the only two stars I'm willing to give it. So what was wrong that it ranked so lowly in my mind? Jimmy's just didn't impress me. First of all, the food was mediocre, at best. I had a veggie wrap that was just not very good. It wasn't overly expensive, so I didn't really care. But it has to be said that you should not come here for the food. Secondly, I thought the service here was very rude. Now, I've written 150+ reviews on Yelp and I rarely comment on bad service. I get that working in the service industry can be tough- I know, I've been there. But everyone from the bartenders to the hostesses to our waitress were just flat out rude. Lastly, the location of this spot kinda sucks. It's located in a Holiday Inn that is pretty far from the rest of the attractions in Clearwater Beach and they were charging $20 to park. What?????!!!!!!!????? To park in a hotel parking lot in Florida? I pay less to park in lots in Philadelphia, one of largest cities in the country. Get out of here, Jimmy's. I'm not saying this is a horrible place to come. It is perfect for a sunset drink at the bar or to see some live music or if you are staying at the Holiday Inn and need a place to get a quick bite. But there are much better places to visit in Clearwater Beach.

Great Great View! That's about it! Drinks were not good. We ordered Strawberry Mojitos, not much flavor or anything. A lady had a pina colada and that looked pretty and yummy. We had a cool looking seafoot cocktail. It was different types of seafood in a martini glass. Great presentation but very small for the inflated price. Then again, we were in a touristy area. We also had salads with that. No big dealio. Our bill ended up being like 60. You know that drinks too always inflate your bill. It was a bummer for a pricey place, but sure did have a beautiful view!

We were just settling in at the perfect outdoor spot for a beautiful sunset when Mother Nature appeared in the sky. The staff was quick to move us to a booth inside the restaurant before its it struck! The place was very busy, but the staff managed to keep up! We had fresh oysters which were fresh and delish. I ordered the stuffed shirmp with crab. Nice flavor with the lemon holladaise sauce. It accompanied great flavor of red skin potatoes and fresh veggies. My husband ordered the shrimp trio, fried but fresh tasting. Our guests had the salmon salad. Generous portion of greens, the salmon was a bit over cooked, but nothing to complain about. I ordered the house bloody mary! The drink itself was nothing special but it did come with a spear garnished with veggies and one huge shriimp!!! This place has the best view on the beach. Great spot to meet friends and have drinks. The menu is huge with appetizers of fish spread to mussels. Can't wait to go back.

Tried the breakfast buffet.....don't bother! Tried it for dinner one night. Lobster bisque was good. Buffalo chicken dip was very tasty but the chips on the stale side. The bucket punch was pretty good but not quite worth $12. Waitress.....very poor. The also sat us at a table right next to the kitchen traffic which was annoying. Too bad this place isn't up to snuff with the hotel attached because that would be very convenient. However, I won't eat there again...too many other better choices in Clearwater Beach.

    (2)
  • Alison L.

Friday 'all you can eat grouper' special is a good deal. They offer it fried, jerk, grilled and blackened. I tried jerked and blackened and both were tasty. The sides were just 'ok.' The service was all right. The weather was horrible when we were there but it looks like they have a nice outdoor area.

    (3)
  • Judy D.

I got the blackened salmon. It was delicious. My only comment is pls make the food hot when it arrives st the table. I have a thing about the temperature of my food. Beer was nice and cold! Our waiter john is always awesome... Ask for him! The bread was cold and hard but is usually good. We will be back.

    (4)
  • Samantha K.

1st time in Clearwater Beach and our hotel recommended this place. The jerk grouper sandwich with iguana sauce was AWESOME! The coleslaw was different but good. Hubs got the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was ok & it gave him heartburn. Daughter got the burger it was a little salty but she liked it. Son loved the chicken strips.

  • K K.

This place was just so-so. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and they were just chips with shredded cheese melted on them. It is a good place to watch the sunset and they give out free "sunset shots" around sunset. But the food was subpar.

    (3)
  • Jerry K.

I visited Jimmy's on 12/16 @ 6pm. Ordered a Grouper Ruben sandwich. First off there wasn't much to it, very small piece of fish and I do say fish. Not sure what it was, if grouper it was frozen and bad. Grouper is my favorite fish and could not tell you if it actually was grouper. It's been two hours since I partially consumed the fish and I'm still feeling and tasting it, and it's not good. Oh yes the table was also disgustingly dirty/ stickey. Waste of money will not return

    (1)
  • Julie C.

This place was so disappointing! We ate here in March 2014 and the food was great. This evening our food was horrible! My grilled grouper was very fishy so it was not fresh. It also seemed to have been cooked earlier and reheated. My husband had the clam chowder and it was so thick it was like mashed potatoes. I think he got the bottom of the pot that had been sitting there all day. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

    (1)
  • Tammy S.

Not what I hoped! The title fish house lends itself to an air of assumed quality, but the good is mediocre at best. Good point is kids eat free if you're a hotel guest. The oysters were small and sickly looking, and the burger is standard food service quality. Kids enjoyed cheeseburger and Mac n cheese, but their taste buds are pretty unrefined. I would not come back here to eat.

    (2)
  • Lois L.

Too loud! The get great musicians, but I don't go to dinner to hear music. I love it in the background. I was with friends I haven't seen in years and the only time I heard them was when the band took a break. It is Auchincloss a great setting and the music would be so much better if you would just turn it down a notch!

The service was not that great. Seemed as if proper training for customer service was lacked. Heard some back talking when a server was asked to do a simple task. Server complained. Was not a good look. And was rather slow as far as refills and keeping up.

Very nice atmosphere and had a good experience here after having a horrible experience at Shepherds Tiki Bar which is right next door.

Pretty easy place to get to if you know your way around Clearwater Beach. I loved the view and our waitress was really attentive. I liked the food, though it wasn't anything to write home about. The prices are a bit insane and they are definitely cashing in on the ignorant tourist crowd. There are better places along the beach to eat, but I can't say I had the worst time at Jimmy's. The drinks are definitely out of control with the pricing, however. Do not go here for drinks.

The food is great, the bartenders are friendly and the sunset is awesome.

I'm giving it 4 stars for the atmosphere and view. View is awesome. Love the outdoor patio. Indoor seating is available too. Great hang out on the water. Live music. Great bar. Food was okay-good. Service was good. We sat at the bar and had a late lunch watching the masters. We ordered a couple beers, Cuban sandwich, and blackened grouper sandwich. Check it out!

Very fun atmosphere! Had the shrimp trio and angry chicken pasta, delicious! Food was out right away! Live music! Great service!

I'm not really sure if all my fellow yelpers and myself ate at the same restaurant here. I had a great time at Jimmy's fish house. Stumbled upon it driving through there for a later night meal. We ate on the pier/patio once and the other times visited we ate at the bar half outside. The food IMO was quite awesome. I read someone thought the oysters were small, and I was like seriously is this the same place??? I got the oyster Rockefeller, and let me say they were indeed fabulous! And big! I ordered them every time we went here. Also got a whole lobster that came with sides. Very good, and honestly I don't recall the price being that up there for what we got. Being from Pittsburgh the closest thing to super fresh seafood is Whooleys in the Strip. And here prices for seafood seemed WAY higher than Jimmy's and not as fresh. Everything tasted like it was caught that day. My dinning partner, no longer any kind of partner, got a lobster claws that were stuffed with crab. He loved it, and even though the next time we went it wasn't on the menu, we asked if they still made it and they said they could make it special. Most of the staff seemed very pleasant. I would definitely come back here. One thing the drinks were expensive but that is about standard to overpay for anymore.

Food, Service & Friendliness of Staff is excellent. Jason, Bartender is awesome...he can make anything with a special touch. I visit here couple times a week.

We should have paid more attention to the reviews! Food and service were less than average. This place was recommended for their piña coladas and view. We did not have a piña colada....so there you go! Would not recommend this place!

Was not happy with the quality of food here at all. I ordered crab legs and they were possibly the worst I had ever had and I'm a crab person. The waitress offered to get me something else to replace the bad crab and I got the stuffed shrimp. Also not good. The stuffing was not good and the shrimp was of the lower quality. The best part if my meal was the somewhat warm redskin potatoes. Anyways, that's 2 chances in 1 visit and both were bad. I won't be back.

Beer + grouper sandwich That's all I can say Beer + grouper sandwich I mean, let's be honest... is there anywhere even REMOTELY good to eat on that strip of beach? This place came close. The beer was imported, good, and made me see pirates out on the outlet/bay... Oh wait... that was a tourist pirate ship. Snap.

Not worth the cost. My dinner here was good but I do believe the price.for my salad was fair.but it was nothing outstanding. My husbands another story. He couldnt eat the.steak and it was way over priced for what he got. I am glad I got.the salad. We live and learn. I am sure the nightlife is good though. It was jumping when were at the pool later that night. We never had any ddinks at the bar.

Were told that there was a 40 minute wait. We told the host we'd sit at the bar adjacent to the restaurant. He said "Fine" and took our phone number. 50 minutes later, we walk back to the host stand and were told that they had given away our table. When asked why we weren't called at the number we left, we were told that they aren't allowed to make long distance calls. Come on. #1 - You only have local patrons? #2 - No one has a cell phone? Manager tells us that he's doing all he can to seat us. That meant that he was waiting for another table to finish....that's not doing everything to seat us. Doing everything means setting up a table and seating us. I talked to the hotel manager and was told that the restaurant is a separate entity, gave me the General Manager's card, apologized and said that I was the third complaint about this today. Food was fine, our server was nice, but really, I won't be bringing guests back again. The management did give us 25% off of our bill, but to make matters worse, because we were delayed in the first place, we ended up getting caught up in the torrential downpour on our way to the car.

Great location and great view. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Holiday Inn in Clearwater Beach. The restaurant and bar has seating inside and out; however, its real charm is the view outside. Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico; the outside seating offers breathtaking views of the sunset. The food is nothing to brag about. I had the Snug Harbor Crab Cake Sandwich and the potato chips as the side. The sandwich was OK; you could barely taste the crab cake. Their alcoholic drinks are pretty tasty; however, not really strong. The service was OK and an 18% tip was automatically. The restaurant does offer live entertainment which is a nice complement to the view and nice ocean breeze.

Awesome view!!! loved this atmosphere.. My son and I dined here one afternoon and really enjoyed it. The food was fairly good but no not Stellar.. The crane was creeping around and trying to steal any body's food that wasn't paying attention.. It was really funny. I enjoyed watching all the boats go by on that sunny afternoon. Beware of the Crane... he is very very Sneaky.. lol I would go back again..

Dirty plates at breakfast buffet, so when we asked for clean ones, they wiped them out with a dirty dish towel. The view is great, might be good to go for drinks and appetizers.

Great place to go and have a drink and watch the sunset over the water! Very relaxing and the stress just melts off you. Clearwater Beach, water, sand, sunsets, music, drinks and food.... what more can you ask for. The food is average but I would take average everyday if I got to sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset! My husband says I need to base my review on the food primarily but I think in cases like this I don't. I don't come for the food even though I eat there.... I come for everything else. It's my happy place!

This is located in the back of the Holiday Inn. It is a great location being right on the water. We were surprised how good the food was. We ate there a bunch of times during our stay and had family join us and they thought it was great too. I thought breakfast was a little pricy but lunch and dinner was priced right. We will be back. The reason for lack of one star is the band on Friday night and Saturday night was not good at all. Very corny duo. Daytime was great. Also there were a lot of smokers at night. I don't like smelling smoke when I'm eating and there were a few kids around.

Nice location by the water. Came at around 2pm and the bar area is full on a Tuesday. The seafood bisque is good though it doesn't have chunks of seafood which I prefer. Wings are tasty and well bathed with sauce, yum!!! Service is good.

The Margaritaville Shrimp was quite tasty. After that, things went downhill fast (food-wise; however, the service was good). I'm not sure how a restaurant on the waterfront of the Gulf of Mexico has the nerve to serve frozen, undercooked flounder, but for the answer to that riddle you'll have to ask the management here. I typically love stuffed seafood anything, but my dinner here was bad enough that I couldn't finish it. Also, the crowd at the bar was loud and kind of rowdy (and not in a good way). I found the behavior of some of the patrons to be distracting and disturbing.

Ambiance was pretty kool. Menu had somewhat of a limited selection. Had the grilled Grouper sandwich that the waiter recommended. The sandwich had absolutely no flavor and was served with cold fries. $14.95 for a tasteless Grouper sandwich put me in a sour mood. Didn't really enjoy anything at "Jimmy's" except for the cold beer that our exceptional waiter "Tanny" kept full. Save your money, eat somewhere else, go there for drinks at the poolside bar.

I will start by saying, that the location and the view are excellent. When I asked a local which restaurant served the best seafood in town, he recommended Jimmy's. I should have known when we entered the doors of the Holiday Inn where it was located that it would be over priced and not too outstanding. I was correct. There were a couple of perks, the bread was nice and the children loved the pepperoni pizza. The clam chowder was overly sweet and seemed a little greasy, the 'Florida gulf' fried shrimp was pressed flat and had a pre-frozen taste to it and the Coconut shrimp I would swear is exactly the same as the frozen bag of 'Margaritaville shrimp' I purchase at my local Costco. Service was pleasant and attentative. Save your money....

The food is terrible. The view is great. Clam chowder was way too salty. Chili beef nachos were really bland. I was glad we just tried this place for just appetizers since the entrees are pricey.

Since this restaurant was at the hotel we were staying at, The Holiday Inn and Suites Clearwater, it was convenient. We visited the first night we arrived and weren't really thrilled with our waiter. He was kind of smug and very fake and drove me nuts the whole dinner. My food was pretty good, coconut crusted shrimp and sweet potato fries, but I was really kind of disappointed with the choices on the menu; nothing really new or different. We gave the restaurant one more try and were pretty late when we arrived so we quickly ordered burgers so to get our order in so we could eat. I think they had it a little confused for themselves on which waiter was waiting on our table but either way, they both beat out the guy from the first night. The burgers were just okay and kind of flavorless. There seem to be a lot of locals who like this restaurant, more than likely for the views and being directly on the inlet and each night there is live music mostly done with a person playing guitar to a CD and singing along. Other than that, I don't really think they visited for the food because I had a whole lot better food at other restaurants close by. I may be wrong here but I wanted to mention that on the first night it seemed like the owner who was sitting at a table in the middle of the restaurant taking money from the servers right in front of us. The guy had a terrible attitude and should have been out of sight doing this. Not only did it seem like he was taking the tips but told one guy to keep a $20 and then was pocketing all the other cash. This was kind of an odd thing to be watching and should have been done in the restaurant office.

Fresh on the heels of a horribly bad experience at the Chart House, I went to dinner with my family to Jimmy's with low expectations. But Jimmy's turned out to be a really good experience. I ordered a burger, my wife ordered the Ahi salad. Both were very good and served in a timely manner. The live entertainment started after we finished dinner and it was very nice. All in all, the drinks were good and the food was good. We enjoyed our time at the restaurant and left in a great mood. It was a really nice dinner.

The food itself was pretty good; not foot stomping great, but pretty good. (We had seafood by the way ... duh!) The bar was pretty well stocked with a decent enough selection of beers; no cider though (that would have put them to five stars). Contrary to what that Mark S guy writes, the music was good; not at all loud (he must have confused this place with the one several doors to the south). Service was very snappy and our waiter was a hoot; at one point he sat down to just joke with us for a bit. And ... unbeatable sunset.

We went there for oysters and drink on a saturday afternoon. The place is a large restaurant inside a hotel on the beach. It has a wonderful view from a large patio. Perfect location for drinks and sunset watching. Unfortunately, the very loud and poorly executed live music that attacked at around 5 pm mostly ruined the experience. Whining folk music filled the patio making further conversation difficult. The very reluctant service and warm, dried out oysters did not help the experience either. Bottom line: Get some drinks and enjoy the view, but stay away from the food (the other stuff on the menu appears to be the usual american-mainstream-restaurant fare filling enormous plates with deep fried and creamy sauce drenched items).
